Abstract:

This paper studies the theory of THERMAL PROPERTIES of graphene nanowiggles, with Zigzag edge and Armchair in different size and geometry. In order to calculate the phonon dispersion spectrum, specific heat and THERMAL conductivity PROPERTIES, we use the four-nearest-neighbor force-constant model and Landauer theory calculations. The results show that the THERMAL PROPERTIES studied differ significantly compared to complete nanoribbons, especially at low frequencies. In detail, in acoustic modes, the THERMAL conductivity and the transmission coefficient of the phonon reduce sensitively due to the special structures of the edge in compared to the perfect nanoribbons which causes the dispersion of the phonon from the edges. There are also significant changes in the of THERMAL capacity, and calculating the out-of-plane and in-plane phonon modes also shows that the in-plane phonon modes play a greater role in the THERMAL conductivity. These results can be useful in improvement and designing electronic and thermoelectric nanodevices.

Abstract:

In the present work, the integral equations method is used to calculate transport PROPERTIES of polar fluids. For this goal, we use the Stockmayer potential and examine theoretically the THERMAL conductivity of several refrigerant mixtures such as R125+R134a, R125+R32, R125+R152a, R134a+R32, R152a+R32, R134a+R143a, and R125+R143a. We solve numerically the Ornstein-Zernike (OZ) equation using the Hypernetted Chain (HNC) approximation for binary fluid mixtures and obtain the pair correlation functions. Finally, the temperature dependence of THERMAL conductivity is studied using Vesovic-Wakeham method and compared with available results.

Abstract:

Measurement of THERMAL PROPERTIES for some coatings as potential selective surfaces is reported and parameters affecting the preparation of the coatings are indicated. Although Mo-Black oxide electroplated on aluminum substrate among the coatings did not show the selectivity desired, but its resistance and tolerance at moderate temperature (250°C for 36 hours at atmospheric pressure) are considerable and should be taken as a possible candidate for color coatings in decoration and as a resistant coating against oxidation. Dip coating on galvanized steel and zinc shows some order of selectivity (a/e » 5); better selectivity which is not far to reach would make this coating a good and suitable material. From the economical point of view and the simplicity of production it is also a promising coating as selective surfaces for flat plate solar collectors as well as concentrated collectors.

Abstract:

Sluggish Cognitive Tempo is used to describe a particular type of attention deficit, concentration, and slowness in information processing. The aim of this study was to investigate the psychometric PROPERTIES of the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale (SCTS) of the parent form among Iranian children. The present study is a descriptive study. A sample of 1700 people was selected from the provinces of Tehran, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Fars and Khorasan using cluster sampling method. 122 subjects were excluded from statistical analysis due to incomplete answers to the questionnaires and thus the final sample was reduced to 1578 parents. The confirmatory factor analysis method and internal consistency were used to compute the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale factorial validity and reliability, respectively. Also, in order to examine the construct validity of the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale, we computed correlations between different dimensions of Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale with Attention Deficit Subscale of Mental Health Assessment Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents. The results of statistical results showed that this scale has structural validity, criterion and convergence in Iranian society. The results indicate that the scale is three factors and also the validity of the scale using Cronbach's alpha method and retest test after Approved two weeks. According to the findings of the present study, the parent form of the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale (SCTS) has a good validity and reliability and it can be used in research related to slow cognitive multiplication in Iranian society.

Abstract:

Alumina (Al2O3) nanoparticles were used as the additive for modifying a novolac phenolic resin using the solution mixing method. Different weight percentages of nano alumina 3 and 8 w% were loaded into the resin, called 3ARC and 8ARC nanocomposites, respectively. These nanocomposites were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and oxyacetylene flame test (OFT). The FE-SEM images exhibited that at low concentrations (3ARC), the nano alumina particles were dispersed uniformly on the surface of novolac resin, however, at high concentrations, the dispersion was repressed by aggregation in the nanocomposites. OFT proved that with increasing alumina content in the nanocomposite, the back temperature of the sample decreases and thus improves the THERMAL insulation PROPERTIES.

Abstract:

THE EFFECT OF BOTH NANOCLAY (CLOISITE 30B) AND ANTIOXIDANT (IRGANOX B225) ON SELECT MECHANICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES OF HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE)/WOOD FLOUR COMPOSITES WERE INVESTIGATED. NINE COMPOUNDS WERE PREPARED USING A TWIN-SCREW EXTRUDER. TENSILE STRENGTH OF COMPOUNDS CONTAINING 2.5 AND 5.0 PARTS PER HUNDRED COMPOSITE (PHC) NANOCLAY INCREASED BY 24% COMPARED TO SAMPLES WITHOUT NANOCLAY. TENSILE MODULUS OF NANOCOMPOSITES INCREASED BY 7.3% BY ADDITION OF 2.5 PHC NANOCLAY; HOWEVER, FURTHER LOADING OF NANOCLAY TO 5 PHC DECREASED THE TENSILE MODULUS BY 4.3%. THE HALPIN–TSAI EQUATION PREDICTED THE STACK NUMBER OF NANOCLAY BETWEEN TWO AND THREE FOR THE NANOCOMPOSITE CONTAINING 2.5 PHC NANOCLAY WHICH CONFIRMED INTERCALATED STRUCTURE FORMATION. ADDITION OF ANTIOXIDANT HAD A NEGLIGIBLE EFFECT ON TENSILE PROPERTIES OF THE COMPOUNDS. OXIDATIVE INDUCTION TIME (OIT) OF COMPOSITES DECREASED WITH THE ADDITION OF NANOCLAY (2.5 TO 5.0 PHC) AND INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY (OVER 200%) WITH ADDITION OF 0.4 PHC ANTIOXIDANT.
